We Clean Your System
Not Just The Ducts!
| Winter Weather Safety! PLEASE READ! During cleaning, our powerful vacuum will create a negative pressure condition inside your home or business which will pull smoke, soot, odors and deadly fumes from other indoor combustion burning appliances back into your home or business. For your safety and ours, if you have one or more of these appliances located indoors and regardless of whether they are connected to your duct work or not, they must be SHUT OFF and COLD prior to our arrival. Examples include, but are not limited to coal, wood and pellet stoves, fireplaces and unvented gas heaters. Electric appliances including space heaters, hot water tanks and electric fireplaces, etc. do not present a hazard and may be used during our cleaning.

Pet Safety and Protecting Your Valuable Keepsakes!
- Please note that while we will gladly move any furniture (within reason) that may be blocking access to vent openings, we do ask that before our arrival you remove any valued items or keepsakes from those that may be easily broken.
We Treat Your Home or Business As If It Were Our Own!
As applicable, painter's tarps and corner protectors are used to protect floor, wall and furniture surfaces. Items located in or near our work areas are covered or moved as needed and for your comfort we have a portable electric heater on our truck.
Preparing Your System For Cleaning
Our safe, thorough cleaning process often requires us to disassemble and/or otherwise protect the critical parts of your system. Shown below is a blower that has been removed and disassembled (using the proper tools) for cleaning. We also take the time to remove or protect other critical components such as UV lights, humidifier water panels, humidistats, sail switches and the exposed surfaces of the indoor coil for your air conditioning or heat pump!
Access holes are cut only where absolutely necessary and whenever possible we use existing openings such as your blower cabinet door, filter or air cleaner, humidifier and nearby vent openings.
Shown below is a centrally located residential heating and air system.
In this example, the main ducts extend outward in both directions from the furnace and as shown in the picture on the left a single 8" round access opening was needed to connect our vacuum hose to the supply side of the system. Not shown are the metal cover plates that were installed thru this opening and across the top of the coil to prevent dirt and debris from falling into it.
The picture on the right shows the single 1" access hole that was needed to clean both sides of this main trunk. When finished all access openings are sealed air tight with industry approved covers.

WE CLEAN YOUR SYSTEM - NOT JUST THE DUCTS!

To prevent dirt and debris from being drawn thru your indoor coil and/or heat exchanger, each side of your system is isolated and cleaned separately.
The photo (above left) shows a typical vacuum connection for the return side of the system. The blower has been removed for cleaning and our 8" vacuum hose is attached to this opening to clean the return side of the system.
The photo (above right) shows our 8" vacuum hose attached to the main supply duct near the indoor coil. A protective metal covering has been placed over the indoor coil to prevent dirt and debris from falling into it.
Shown below are two of our 25 foot long, yellow 10" diameter vacuum hoses connected in series to our powerful truck mounted vacuum. These hoses are attached to the green 8" diameter hose shown in the pictures above and used to pull all of the dirt and debris out of your system. Our vacuum is powered by a 56HP Kubota diesel engine has the capacity to hold over a yard of dirt.

Our Safe Thorough Cleaning Process
1. We begin by placing a live video camera similar to the one shown below inside your system near where our 8" (green) vacuum hose will be attached. This camera faces into the exiting air stream and eliminates the guessing that other companies do to determine when each duct is clean.

You Are Welcome To Watch!
2. One or more 3/8" air lines will be extended thru your home to each vent opening. Chosen for their high visibility and non marking covering, these hoses have a 800 psi burst strength rating and are used to supply our pneumatic cleaning tools with up to 200psi of air pressure. When applicable, pads are placed below the hose couplings to protect floor surfaces.
3. Pictured below are just a few of the many pneumatic cleaning tools and rods we have to choose from. Multiple passes are made thru each duct using a variety of these tools and each tool will be carefully chosen to safely clean the type of material your duct work is made from. Our cleaning continues until our camera clearly shows that each duct is clean.

4. We start by cleaning all of the smaller branch ducts on the return side of your system. We will then access and clean the main return duct(s) and return plenum. When finished, our camera and vacuum hose are moved to the supply side of your system and the above process repeated.
5. As applicable, we will also inspect and clean the blower, indoor coil, conditioned air side of the primary or secondary heat exchanger, washable filters, humidifiers, sail switches and more!
6. Your system will be reassembled and tested for air flow and proper operation. All access holes will be sealed air tight and your home or business will be left in a neat and orderly manner.
